Mike Minear stumbled into a career in marketing after being exposed to off track promotion in the world of motor sport. Using his 17 years of retail experience, and the age-old adage ‘the customer is king’, Mike managed to build a successful business with international reach.
After a stint at J Walter Thompson, a world leader in advertising, I established my own business. I specialised in the early days as an event manager, and took whatever work I could get my hands on.
With extensive experiences in the insurance, telecommunications, mobile, automotive, environmental and engineering market place, I have worked across Australia and internationally in New Zealand, the USA, China, and India.
What drove you to start the business?
I was driven to start my business by a desire to venture into new challenges and experiences and the opportunity work with like-minded people.

Winning any business, whether it be small or large.

Planning, planning and more planning, the rest is easy

I’ve discovered my ability to never give in, despite the challenges that I faced in work and life.
What has been your biggest sacrifice for the business?
I am a workaholic, so I’ve sacrificed time with family and time to relax.
Given what you know now, what would you do differently?
Nothing, just use my experiences to learn from and to grow.

A go getter that is prepared to learn from their mistakes and who will remember the lessons that they learn on the journey.

Don’t take your eye off the little things; the big things will look after themselves.
